The Ancestors of Daisy Pearl Monroe

| The latest addition to Daisy Pearl Monroe's paternal ancestry
is the Munro family which adds about 500 new relatives to the database. This includes
Samuel Munro's descendants as well as his wife, Mary Alyea's family. I note that Munro is
of Scotch lineage and Alyea is French. The swift success in documenting the Munro family descendants is due to my teaming up with a cousin, Roberta (Bobbi) Munro who is married to a direct descendant of Samuel Munro. Bobbi and I researched and compiled the tree as you see it in about two months. Pretty good when she lives in Florida and I live in South Carolina. Another major contributor is Loren Munro from Illinois. Loren is another direct descent of Samuel Munro who has worked for around 20 years in the Munro family history. Loren graciously opened his family records to us. There were several others who also contributed, I thank everyone who helped in this project

| We continue to add to Daisy Pearl Monroe's
maternal Gifford ancestors who decend from England. The main data base now holds over 800
Gifford/Giffard family. From Daisy the tree goes back 46 generations. This effort was due
partly to contacting several Gifford cousins who have graciously shared information. We
thank Myrtice Gifford Forsythe, Ann Gifford McClenaghan, Susan McMackin Reynolds and Lori
Watson for their help I note that all William Gifford genealogy concerning his parents Phillip Gifford and Mary Turner and their ancestors is totally unverified and somewhat speculative.
